3 Claps, 3 Slaps, For James
MidState CrossFit and the Central Valley community more broadly, we are running another fundraiser, this time for a fellow CrossFitter from Fresno who needs our help! James Sharnick, is like many of us who have found health and fitness through CrossFit. A story of success that led him to the path of coaching and leadership. Last month while living the peak of the pyramid and using his fitness for the sport of mountain biking he sustained a significant spinal cord injury. It is our humblest opinion that it was his hedge against disease that made this trauma life altering, not life ending. He was airlifted to one of the best hospitals this side of the continent and has now been transferred home to Fresno. Life does not end when injury and illness happens and now it is our goal to step up and relieve some stress by providing our support to him in the only way we see how, through a CrossFit workout. On August 19th, we will be running a several heat workout that all are invited to attend. This is our invitation to all of CrossFit here in the Central Valley and beyond to join us as we donate time and money to support James, his family, and his CrossFit tribe at Certus CrossFit. More information to come, this is our first call to action!
See you all there.

Our Vision: “MidState aspires to be a community of continuous improvement, where every member feels welcomed and supported along their journey to “Better”. We aspire to be a place where community is not narrowly defined within the walls of our gym. We want to be part of the change that looks to bring “Better” to our community as well as ourselves.”
